healing energy with art

Experience healing energy with art!

This is a result of experimenting with a different medium…digital, instead of paint.  Interesting!  It still has energy!

If anyone has any thoughts or insight as to what these paintings work on exactly;   let me know.  thanks.

Healing Energy Paintings

Healing energy painting 006 by holistic artist H. McLaughlin

Healing energy painting 006 by holistic artist H. McLaughlin

This is a painting that has subtle energies emanating from it.  Yah!  I know.  Somehow, my healing energies as an energy healer/reiki master has merged with my artwork.  I know I have done this in the past, when I first started painting.  I kind of ignored it, and well, thought I was imagining it…..for how could that be after all.?!  Its not like I was intentionally channeling reiki into them.  This year I was laid off work (from a real job) and this gave me more time to meditate and focus on creating my art.  One day after I stepped back from the painting in progress, I felt this familiar energy coming from the painting.  ( Like the one @ 15yrs ago )

I invite anyone and everyone to spend some time with this painting and ask you to kindly share your experiences if any. I will be posting more energy paintings in the future.   Also….if there are other artists out there that are willing to come out of the closet and share there own experiences.  I suspect this may be a phenomenom of healers and artists…..don’t know.

ART and HEALING Have Merged

It appears that some art has evolved!

Healing and Art have merged and become one.

There a a growing number of artists that are creating art that has a positive , subtle, healing energy that emanates from the art.

Dr. Michael Samuels is one of the pioneers in recognizing the healing qualities of different art forms and how they effect us and our environment.  More on this subject, soon.

Experimental or Conventional

I like experimenting with my art…whether its with the paint, paper, support, brushes, non brushes, removing layers, textures…..using the same materials in unconventional ways….I was reading someones blog the other day and he was referencing an author’s book about there being basically two types of artists: experimental and conventional..    I had not really thought about it before….but it does make a lot of sense. Perhaps that’s why I prefer the abstract genre…as I can create something new….I have no interest in replicating something that already exists.  Mind you, I didn’t go into this consciously, just noticing what is.  Please know that I can certainly appreciate the skill of artists that do replicate, even if it is their own interpretation…..this goes for musicians as well.  I’m just exploring what drives us…Where does that propensity come from?  It is making me think how this apply’s to many walks of life, not just conventional or experimental artists, but also in the broader scope of life!  I think it is  important for us to honor and acknowledge each others path whether or not we personaly understand it or not; or for that matter agree with it!  Just makes you think; at least me1 Anyone want to comment and add to these thoughts are welcome.   I hope I can find that blog again. I forgot to save it.    Just remembering, in a former life I was involved with songwriting, and collaborated with some musicians with my lyrics….anyhow….I remeber being puzzled why a musician would just do covers and be satisfied with that??#@     Know I think I’m starting to get closer to the answer.

Zen Moments

It was one of the zen moments, when youre “in the zone“….most artist and musicians

have experienced from time to time, that this painting came about.

The image evokes a steaming pot of aromatic exotic tea…..

that which could illicit a zenful moment.

I used some of the paint thick with out adding water to it

to give it a rich texture. I hope you enjoy viewing it.

This is a watercolor on paper measuring  15×20″ unframed     $200.

Tranquility

Tranquility

24×48″ acrylic painting on canvas     $2100.

This is the painting I tried to upload yesterday…

It has a sort of gentle, serene, and yes…tranquil feel to it! Sort of a Zen

simplicity with a hint of waterlily,

celadon colors with aqua, turquoise and amber
